Zaykabar is a Myanmar conglomerate, founded in 1990, with a primary focus on the construction and telecommunications sectors.
The company has constructed a series of housing projects including Mingaladon Garden City, a housing estate on the outskirts of Yangon, which includes the Royal Mingalardon Golf Course, as well as Pyay Garden Condominium in Mayangone Township, Yangon.
Zaykabar also owns and operates Mya Yeik Nyo Royal Hotel in Yangon, as well as two entertainment venues in Yangon, near Kandawgyi Lake and a radio station, Cherry FM.

Q3 2014
Malaysian listed company Ho Hup Group entered into a joint venture with Zaykabar, through its 70% owned subsidiary, Ho Hup Myanmar, to develop a project known as Z-Villas. Initial estimates place the project’s value at $200m.
November 2014
Zaykabar was looking into the development of low-cost housing in Yangon by seeking public opinion through social media.
Q3 2015
Following 11 years of delays, the office building at the Pyay Garden project in Sanchaung Township officially opened in October.
Q2 2016
The company announced that it would build a cultural museum within its Mingalardon Garden City development. The museum is currently at the planning stage and construction has yet to begin.
Q4 2016
The museum was said to have received approval from the relevant ministries, and that construction would begin in December with a completion date in early 2018.
Q2 2016
Its Pyay Garden Residence project finally opened, with the majority of units to be leased out.
February 2018
The company is planning to launch a commercially-focused mixed-use project called Yangon Mingalardon Grand Bazaar in Mingalardon Garden City. It was later announced the project would be a joint venture with China's Zhejiang Luding Investment, with a $700m price tag.
March 2018
The company is planning to build a residential development in the Mya Yeik Nyo compound. However, as of March 2018, YCDC has suspended the project until further notice due to the presence of water storage tank in the construction zone.
The Yangon Heritage Trust also claimed on 27 March that two heritage buildings are located within the Mya Yeik Nyo compound. Local residents have also expressed disapproval about the project because of its possible environmental impacts.
U Khin Shwe said the project, scheduled for completion in 2020, was a landmark investment for Yangon and would feature both hotel space and serviced apartments. He also said the China State Construction Engineering Corporation is a contractor and not a partner.
June 2018
Reports stated the firm has proposed a beach development near Ngwe Saung in Ayeyarwady Region. The development is to be centred on the Maw Tin Soon Pagoda. The Ayeyarwady Region government is still determining whether to move forward with the project.
October 2018
The military announced it had suspended the lease for the Mya Yeik Nyo project due to slow rent payment and cooperation with a foreign firm, contravening lease terms. The project had also been referred to as Yangon New World by Zaykabar for branding.
Also in October, Zaykabar was involved in a land dispute over its World Trade Centre project, and whether part of the site had previously been allocated for farmland.

Zaykabar held ceremonies for the implementation of three new hotel projects. The three are:

Royal Kyaikto hotel near Kin Pun station in Kyaikto township of Mon State
Royal Hpa-an hotel at the entry point of Hpa-an township of Kayin State
December 2018
On 19 December 2018 during a parliament meeting, Zaykabar was criticized for not complying with road building project rules made with the government. The parliament also discussed the possibility to take action against Ministry of Construction officials for not tightening rules on the company.
February 2019
Yangon Mayor U Maung Maung Soe has given notice to Zaykabar company to halt the collection of fees from vehicles that pass through its compound. As of 25 February 2019, The mayor has said it will sue Zaykabar, which is run by former MP U Khin Swe, if the firm does not stop collecting tolls at the main entrance of Shwe Paukkan ward in North Okkalapa township.
March 2019
In March 2019, the military sent an official notice to Zaykabar to remove any machinery from the Yangon New World project located in Mya Yeik Nyo hotel compound, or the company could risk being sued.
In the fifth annual Pwint Thit Sa transparency report, Zaykabar was singled out, as it continues operating without any website presence, making it difficult to assess its performance. The company was first singled out in 2016.
May 2019
In May 2019, Zaykabar has started the structural construction for the Kyaikto hotel at Kin Pun Chaung, according to an announcement on its Facebook page.
In the same month, Zaykabar met with Dengxiong Investment Group to discuss about the implementation of the World Trade Center project.
June 2019
Zaykabar announced it is looking for investors to buy retail space at its ongoing shopping complex, which is to be located at Golden Rock valley in Kyaikto Township, Mon State. The project is slated for completion in October.
